Are you clear why you are not closing sales?

If not, it is always a good time to take a look in the mirror.

Yes, in the mirror. We generally blame what happens outside.

But the main origin is in ourselves. And in our process.

Although it may be difficult for us to recognize it.

But it is time to open that door, the inner one, and discover what is there.

Regarding closing sales, surely there are many more, but these are some of the most limiting reasons:

  • That potential client is not your ideal client, is not your client.⁣ Recognize that and look for the one who is.
  • You don’t have a clear sales process. Or you don’t have a process at all. In both cases, you have to accept it and find the solution.
  • You are not an expert in the product or service. You have to do your homework and get to know your product and market in depth.
  • You are not different from your competition. If you sell the same as the others in the end you will only compete on price. Find your difference.
  • You do not generate enough trust in your proposal. Something is wrong with your value proposition that does not connect with your customer. Reframe your proposal.
  • Your offer does not have enough value or relevance for the customer. The value the customer perceives is not what you think it is. If the customer is not willing to pay for it, no matter how beneficial it is, it is not an added value but the opposite.
  • You are not convincing and persuading, nor do you generate emotions. Reason and emotion. Mind and heart. Something is missing.
  • You don’t listen or help the customer with his problem and need. Two ears and one mouth, remember, it’s not about you. It’s about them, their problems.
  • You don’t minimize the risks and intangible costs to invest in your option. Make it easy, show that your option is not only the best, but the safest, and the one that saves them the most time and effort.
  • You don’t propose closing at the right time and/or you are afraid to close. The fear of rejection paralyzes you, you must change that attitude and understand that closing is a consequence and not the cause of selling.

Which of these blocks your sales the most?

Whichever one it is, I hope you don’t keep repeating the same mistakes.
